KYSRN: A truly innovative program!

The Know Your Status Right Now (KYSRN!) is an innovative program that offers FREE, Rapid HIV Urine Testing, education and counseling to young people ages 15-24 in Sub-Saharan Africa at KYSRN events.  In addition the program utilizes educational and entertainment components to de-stigmatize and strengthen the message of HIV testing among young people.

The KYSRN! program utilizes Alliance Bio-Medical’s new breakthrough advanced HIV Urine Detection Test kit. Using this kit participants can learn their HIV status in 1 minute or less.

Working with Corporate Sponsors, Celebrities, Radio & TV Stations, Health Professionals, Government Agencies and Local Non Governmental Organizations we plan to administer 300,000 FREE tests in the first three years of the program at  starting with Nigeria, Africa's most populous country. Nigeria's STD/HIV Control estimates that over 60% of new HIV infections are in the 15-24 year old age group.

 

More than Just a Test !

At each KYSRN! event, students will be educated on HIV, its risks, how it is transmitted and how they can protect themselves. Young people that test positive will be directed to follow up counseling and available care via our NGO partners.In addition participants will receive T-shirts, wrist-bands, promotional give-always from corporate sponsors, and an opportunity to meet/mingle with leading national celebrities.

Simply put, KYSRN!, will be the new cool and hip thing to do for young people !
